The aim of our Revive youth nights is to connect and encourage our youth ministries through teaching, worship and story.
It’s a time to celebrate what’s happening around NSW/ACT, as well as providing a tremendous platform for youth pastors and leaders to serve our wider movement of churches.
This year, we have a vision that by serving together we can reach over 2,000 young people with the message of Jesus through the various youth nights that BYM hold over NSW & ACT.
Our theme in 2018 is MAKE NOISE.
We live in a noisy world. The constant suggestions of social media, the relentless opinions of our friends, the expectations of parents. Who should we be listening to? Jesus’ voice can end up being simply one ‘noise’ among many, or worse, still not being able to be heard at all. We need to turn up to the volume on the what Jesus has to say, and allow Him to speak into the ‘noise’ of our lives to provide comfort, forgiveness, direction, and salvation.
We want to ensure that as many young people as possible in our movement can come and experience the joy of being together, and as such we will again be facilitating a number of Revive youth nights this year. This is more than simply responding to the issues of traffic on a Friday afternoon, this is about our local churches working together in a way that reflects the culture of their region.
Our Core Five values will be clearly demonstrated throughout the gatherings.
The message will focus on what Jesus has achieved for us, and what it means to follow him.
The Bible will be our obvious central point of focus as we meet together.
The overall theme will be able to connect with both Christians and not-yet-Christians.
Our stage presence at each event will be pastors and/or leaders from our Baptist movement.
We have pursued connections with likeminded organisations this year such as Baptist World Aid Australia.
