Who We Are
Baptist Youth Ministries (BYM) exists to see healthy youth and young adult ministry in every Baptist church across NSW & ACT. As part of a wider Baptist movement, we are committed to helping churches invest in the faith and leadership of youth and young adults.
What we do
We support churches by creating spaces, resources, and experiences that equip leaders, strengthen ministries, and help youth and young adults thrive in their local church. Through networks, collaboration, training, and shared experiences, we come alongside leaders in practical and relational ways.
How We Can Support Your Church
We partner with churches and leaders through practical support, leadership development, and shared ministry experiences that strengthen local youth and young adult ministry. This includes the Healthy Youth Ministry Assessment, training and workshops, consulting, providing resources, coaching and mentoring, regional networks and gatherings, and key BYM experiences such as State Youth Camp, IMPACT, Connect, and other regional events.
Why it matters
The NSW & ACT Baptist Association is a vibrant movement of over 360 churches, united by a common goal of becoming a movement of 1000 healthy churches by 2050. To achieve this mutual goal, we will passionately invest in seeing healthy and thriving youth and YA in our local churches.
Empowering youth and YA and raising up emerging leaders today builds a strong foundation for tomorrow’s faith and leadership. This commitment strengthens not just individual ministries, but the entire Baptist movement, ensuring a vibrant and resilient future across NSW/ACT.

Connect is about providing a space to gather with other churches and ministries in your local region, enabling you to partner and collaborate together so that everyone is equipped. This is a leadership development opportunity that will help you grow personally and in your ministry skills.
